nymag liveblogging michelle obama on the view
11:50 a.m.: …Michelle has toast fruit, and bacon for breakfast. “We’re bacon people,” she admits about the Obama family. What could be more American than that? 11:54 a.m.: Somehow the phrase “Obama eats the bacon” has been repeated about five times. We expect this to catch on — for the Democrats, as a porkbarrel spending mantra probably, and for Republicans, as...
Yes, but she’s out sick, and I’m a little bit at wit’s end.
– some exec rando whose assistant I meant to talk to. Hope she gets paid a lot.
saucy!
This is why i like those old school girl love songs - they are SAUCY:
I wake up every mornin’ I stumble out of bed Stretchin’ and yawnin’ Another day ahead It seems to last forever And time goes slowly by ‘Til babe and me’s together Then it starts to fly ‘Cos the moment that he’s with me Time can take a flight The moment that he’s with me...
Harvard is my safety.
Roughly a third of Harvard’s class of 2003 lives in New York—among them real-estate mogul and newspaper publisher Jared Kushner, Loews heir Jessica Tisch, and actress Natalie Portman— and they went back to Cambridge on June 6 for their five-year reunion. A survey revealed that twenty alumni (1.3 percent) have a net worth over $10 million, with another eight worth more than $5 million. About 2.5...
crying on tv
When people are crying on TV, it’s probably a 80% chance that I will tear up. The Tim Russert tributes are truly saddening (which is what started this post), but I’ve also cried at The Biggest Loser, The Simpsons, Freaks and Geeks, and Kid Nation. Kid. Nation. The little kids were running towards their parents, and their parents were running over a hill to see them, and…oh,...

another nerve essay on relationships →
While it’s a bit heavy on the stuffwhitepeoplelike.com referencing, (btw, a lot of things I like are listed, but shit, everyone likes sushi) it’s a decent read. In my year of rando dating in New York, I actually didn’t date too many people from my lib-arts scene, since they were mostly people I met out in bars or around town and not through friends. (Typical) Dudes from Williams...

printmaking!
on a semi-whim, i decided to take a class at the school for visual arts (sva) a couple aves away from my office. too bad i’m already two weeks behind…i was always better at spring semester in college, when i’d finally gotten used to ‘having to go to class’ and all that. whoops.
Simpsons 20th Season - Portfolio.com →
I really hated when the X-Files started getting all wonky/bad and alien conspiracied, since I was 2000% obsessed with it and Duchovny back in the day. (This is before the phrase ‘jumping the shark’ was so popular.) Sad to say, the Simpsons hasn’t been good in a long, long time. I was relieved when the movie wasn’t the worst thing I’d seen in the theater ever.
oh jumes
btw, she has many, many kinds of these folders.
jumisong:
whenever Google celebrates an artist’s birthday with a custom logo, i place it in a folder on my desktop titled (duh) “Google Art Logos”. i’ve accumulated a pretty good collection so far.
